TixDorm Is Now EventDorm: A New Name for a Bigger Vision
Published · About 8 min read

There are moments in a company's journey when the work grows beyond the name it started with.
Today is one of those moments for us.
TixDorm is now EventDorm.
This is not a change we made lightly, and we know that a name people have become familiar with does not suddenly stop being familiar because a new one has appeared. Some of you have discovered events through us, bought tickets, created events, shared our links with friends, worked with us as organisers or simply followed our journey from the beginning. We know that means something, and we want to acknowledge that before we tell you about where we are going.
Why We Changed the Name
The easiest way to explain the change is this: we have become bigger than ticketing.
When we started, ticketing was at the heart of what we wanted to solve. We wanted to make it easier for event organisers to sell tickets and easier for people to discover and attend events. It was a simple place to begin, and it gave us the opportunity to start building relationships with the people who make events happen.
But the more time we spent around events, the more we understood how much happens beyond the ticket.
An event organiser is not just selling admission. They are building an experience. They are trying to reach the right audience, manage their attendees, coordinate people and vendors, handle payments, organise entry, create awareness and make sure that everything comes together when the day finally arrives.
For attendees, the ticket is also only one part of the experience. There is discovering the event, deciding whether it is worth attending, getting access, arriving at the venue and becoming part of whatever the organiser has created.
We began to see that the problems around events were connected, and that solving only one of them was not enough.
That understanding has shaped what we have been building.
What We Are Building Now
Today, our work goes beyond selling tickets. We are creating tools and infrastructure around the wider event experience, from ticketing and payments to attendee management, QR check in, event promotion, ambassadors, vendors, event websites, APIs and the operational needs that come with putting an event together.
We have also seen how much potential exists for creators and communities to use events as a way to connect beyond social media. A creator can have an audience of thousands online, but there is something different about bringing that community together in a real place. There is something different about an attendee being able to experience a community rather than simply consume its content.
That is the kind of future we want to support.
And as what we do expanded, our name started to feel increasingly narrow.
We want organisers to understand that they can come to us with an event and find infrastructure that supports more than the transaction. We want creators to see possibilities beyond posting another flyer. We want partners and vendors to understand that they can be part of the same ecosystem. And we want attendees to experience a platform that makes finding and attending events feel straightforward.
EventDorm gives us the room to do that.
The new name reflects the direction we are taking and the wider role we want to play in the event industry.
What Hasn't Changed
But while the name has changed, we haven't forgotten who we are or the people who helped us get here.
We are still the same team. We still care about the same things. We still believe that organisers deserve better tools and that attendees deserve better experiences.
We are still listening to feedback. We are still learning from every event we support. We are still improving the things that don't work as well as they should. And we are still building with the realities of our market in mind.
The change is not about becoming something completely different. It is about giving the company an identity that better represents what it has already become.
We also understand that some of you may have questions when you first see the new name. If you've used our platform before, you may wonder whether this is a completely new company or whether the services you know are changing.
They aren't.
EventDorm is the same business you have interacted with, now operating under a name that better represents the broader work we are doing.
Our Commitment Going Forward
Our commitment to the people using our platform remains the same.
If you are an organiser, we want to continue helping you create and run better events.
If you are a creator, we want to help you turn your audience into meaningful experiences.
If you are an attendee, we want to make it easier for you to discover events worth showing up for.
And if you are a partner, vendor, ambassador or part of the wider event ecosystem, we want there to be more ways for you to participate.
We don't want to simply build another generic ticketing platform. We want to build infrastructure that understands the event itself.
That means being useful before the ticket is purchased, while the event is being organised, when attendees arrive and after the experience is over.
That is the bigger vision behind EventDorm.
What Comes Next
So yes, you will see a new name from us from today. But we hope that when you see EventDorm, you don't see a company that has abandoned what came before. We hope you see a company that has grown into something its old name could no longer fully describe.
We are grateful for every organiser who trusted us with an event, every attendee who bought a ticket, every person who shared our work and every partner who gave us an opportunity to build with them.
You helped us understand what this company needed to become.
We are still here. The name is different. The vision is bigger. And we are just getting started.
Welcome to EventDorm
The infrastructure behind better events.
