EventDorm V2.0: A Better Way to Run and Experience Events

EventDorm V2.0 — a new experience for everyone

There is a version of event management that looks simple from the outside.

An organiser creates an event, shares a link, sells tickets, and waits for the big day. Attendees buy their tickets, make plans, and show up.

But ask anyone who has organised an event what happens behind the scenes, and a different picture emerges.

There are tickets to manage, people to coordinate, promotions to organise, vendors to work with, and last minute changes to handle. The event might be one experience for the audience, but running it involves several moving parts that all need to work together.

And for attendees, buying a ticket is only one part of the experience. They might want to support a contestant, participate in a competition, or resell a ticket when their plans change.

Events have grown beyond the simple act of selling tickets. The technology behind them needs to reflect that.

EventDorm V2.0 is our next step towards making that happen.

What is EventDorm V2.0?

EventDorm V2.0 is a major overhaul of our platform, bringing a redesigned experience and new capabilities for people who organise, manage, and participate in events.

The goal is straightforward: make EventDorm easier to use while expanding what people can do on the platform.

The release introduces a new interface and our voting feature, alongside the event management capabilities that help organisers handle different parts of their operations.

Here is what has changed.

A Complete Overhaul of the EventDorm Experience

As a platform grows, adding more features is only part of the work. People also need a clear way to find those features and use them.

A cluttered experience can make even a useful tool frustrating. Organisers should not have to spend unnecessary time navigating their event management platform when they already have enough to coordinate.

That is why we have redesigned EventDorm.

V2.0 introduces a refreshed interface with a stronger foundation for navigating the platform and accessing its capabilities. Whether you are managing an event or engaging with one as an attendee, the experience is designed to feel more straightforward.

The redesign also gives us room to keep improving the platform as we introduce new features.

Introducing Voting on EventDorm

Some events are built around participation.

Pageants

Supporters want to vote for their favourite contestant.

Talent competitions

Audiences help decide the winner.

Awards events

People want to have a say in the outcome.

For organisers, managing these voting experiences can mean introducing another process alongside everything else involved in running the event.

For audiences, participating should be straightforward.

This creates more possibilities for events that depend on audience participation. Organisers can incorporate voting into their event experiences, while attendees have another way to engage beyond purchasing a ticket or showing up.

It is a new capability, but it reflects a larger idea: event platforms should support the different ways people participate in events, not just the transaction that gets them through the door.

More Than Ticket Sales

Ticketing is central to many events, but it is not the only thing organisers need to manage.

EventDorm brings together tools that support different parts of the event process, including:

Event creation and ticket management

Organisers can create events and manage ticket sales through the platform.

QR check-in

Event teams can scan tickets at the entrance, helping them manage attendee entry.

Ambassador promotion

Organisers can work with ambassadors to promote their events and reward them for the ticket sales they generate.

Vendor management

Organisers can manage the vendor side of their events alongside other operational activities.

Event analytics

Organisers can review event performance and understand how their events are doing.

Branded event experiences and infrastructure

Businesses looking to offer event capabilities under their own brands can explore ways to build on EventDorm’s infrastructure.

These capabilities address different needs, but they contribute to the same objective: making it easier to bring events together without having to manage every part of the process in isolation.

What Comes Next?

V2.0 is an important milestone for EventDorm, but it is not the end of our work.

The redesign gives us a better foundation. Voting introduces another way for audiences to participate. And the wider platform continues to evolve around the needs of organisers, attendees, and the people working behind the scenes.

We want to keep improving how events are created, promoted, managed, and experienced.

That means listening to users, identifying where existing processes create friction, and building features that solve real problems rather than adding complexity for its own sake.
